About

Seventeen years young, high school senior. Diagnosed at 14 months. I’m living with Type 1 Diabetes, not dying of it.

I’ve had a handful of diabetes-related complications including hypothyroidism, alopecia areata, and some mood disorders.

I have a serious case of wanderlust. I live for music and theatre. Hartt School of Music, Dance, and Theatre class of 2016, performing arts management major. I’ve got a strange sense of humor and a wide variety of interests. I love photography, fashion, and nature. I love a good philosophical discussion and the occasional math pun. I’m a vegetarian. I’m Catholic. I’m a huge supporter of equality, happiness, and peace.

I represented JDRF’s New Haven Chapter at the 2011 Children’s Congress. You can read about my experience here. I’ve been participating in JDRF’s Walk To Cure Diabetes since 1996 and I captain one of the chapter’s top earning teams. I advocate as much as humanly possible, mentor children with diabetes, and partake in many support groups in my area.
